WST OSC 1-1 Opto-Sensor-Control Signature Recognition Systems
Ref# 7303
WST OSC 1-1 Opto Sensor Signature Recognition System The WST OSC 1-1 signature recognition system is designed for shorter machines like stitchers or folding machines. This stand alone system has sensors located in the hoppers and is comparing images based on there gray scales. Sensors are built into the layer plates to scan the signatures of sections. To identify wrong sections, this signature is compared to a signature learned before. If the difference between the scanned signature and the learned signature is too great, the section is rated as wrong. Depending on the machine used the section can either be rejected or the machine can be stopped. Depending on the type of machine, several systems are connected (gathering machines) or each station is wired individually (movable hoppers). System overview The Opto Sensor Signature Recognition System includes the following components: • Control units • Sensors • Distributors
Function One control unit and one rectangular sensor (or two round sensors) are required for each station. All control units are connected to the power unit with a cable. A proximity switch is connected to the power unit. It determines the exact time when the section is scanned. A stop line runs from the power unit to the control unit. Through this line the machine is stopped when a wrong section has been detected. Several groups can easily be connected since the power units have separate terminals for looping through the voltage supply and the stop line. The voltage supply to the OSC1-1 system is generally provided by the gathering machine so that no separate On/Off switch is required. ERROR IMPOSSIBLE! Powered by WST http://www.wst.eu |
